THE HISTORY OF BLACK DRAG IN PORTLAND | June 16, 7pm

Before you celebrate a thing, it's good to know its history. We highly recommend checking out Race Talks' THE HISTORY OF BLACK DRAG IN PERFORMANCE: AN EVENING OF CONVERSATION & PERFORMANCE featuring the always incredible Alexis Campbell Starr, Coco Jem Holiday, and Nay Nay Leakes Cartier. You'll also be witness to a discussion between panelists Cicely, Lawanda Jackson, Maria Peters Lake, and Sheniqua Volt. Register to attend this all-ages event at Kennedy School on June 16, 7:00pm.

Race Talks: The History of Black Drag in Portland

PORTLAND PRIDE PARADE | June 19, 11am

Get ready for the celebration of the year! Get downtown early, and find a spot to watch the festivities. You'll see Dykes on Bikes, rainbow unicorns, marching bands, your favorite drag performers, and all the works! The parade steps off at NW Couch St and NW 8th Ave, traveling east down NW Couch St. Once the parade reaches Naito Pkwy it turns south and proceeds down to the Portland Pride Waterfront Festival.

PRIDE PICS | June 18-19

In celebration of Portland Pride 2022, Pride Northwest returns with PRIDE PICS: an outdoor film experience on Portland’s Waterfront highlighting the impact of our LGBTQIA+ community on screen. Taking place June 18 and June 19 during Pride Weekend on Portland’s Waterfront, the event features a curated suite of LGBTQIA+ films each evening. The films will be screened outdoors on a custom big screen next to the main stage at Portland Pride along with food, beverages and fun! Ticketing for PRIDE PICS will be donation-based in an effort to support the important community service work and programming of Pride Northwest.

PORTLAND PRIDE WATERFRONT FESTIVAL

Whether you hit the waterfront on Saturday or stay after the parade to get your celebration on, you'll be among the like-minded Pride-goers doing their own thing all along Portland's Waterfront park. Businesses you know, and some you don't, will offer all the rainbow swag you can dream of, and you'll see some of the cutest puppies around (and dogs, too!). No matter who you are, you'll feel at home here.
