Honoring Women This March

You may have seen our #WCW series on Instagram. If you have, you’ll know that we’ve been celebrating the women who designed the NEXT from top to bottom.

From the lead architect to the interior designer, the staircase metalwork to the photo collage headboards, down to the linen on your beds… Women are ALL OVER Jupiter NEXT. This Women’s Month, we are honoring the ladies that made the NEXT so magical, inside and out.

We’re so thrilled to be hosting  this women-focused event!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Hear from Works Progress Architecture’s principal Carrie Strickland about how she first fatefully connected with our owner, Kelsey Bunker, at a bar before a trip to New York City, and how she sees the skyline of Portland changing in the next few years.

LAURA SOL OF SOL CREATIONS

We’ll also have a panel featuring two amazing makers who really spiced up our interior!

Laura Sol of Sol Creations, a woman welder and metalworker; Laura not only designed the sleek railings at Jupiter Hotel but is also the brilliant mind responsible for the rain-shower-inspired staircase bringing you from the lobby up to the Flex Lounge at the NEXT. We’ll hear about her advice for up-and-comers, and where she sees the makers movement going in Portland.

JALA SMITH-HUYS OF SEEK & SWOON

Jala Smith-Huys, founder and designer of Seek & Swoon, Portland’s premiere American-made, travel-inspired eco-throw designers, who will speak to her inspiration to bring the gorgeously designed Envy throw into rooms at the NEXT.
